All preschool educators at Yarraleen Preschool are trained and hold appropriate Early Childhood qualifications, relevant to their employment position. All educators working with children have approved regulatory training in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma. All educators hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or are registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). All our educators continually undertake regular Professional Learning and Development.
Our educators are both experienced and passionate and provide a happy, friendly and secure environment.

TEACHERS
I am the Nominated Supervisor, and Educational Leader at Yarraleen Preschool and Teacher for the 4-year-old Bunjil group.
I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies which I completed at Melbourne University in 2000. In 2019 I completed my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at Box Hill Institute enabling me to train a Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Early childhood education has been a passion of mine for a long as I can remember. I have 3 children and during their time at kinder, I joined the committee where I got to experience things from a parent’s perspective.
I love getting to know all the children, finding out their interests and skills, and encouraging and guiding them in their development. I believe in creating an environment where children are comfortable and confident to explore and learn and grow. An integral part of this, I believe is to develop strong relationships with not just the child but their families as well in order for each child to reach their full potential.
Most importantly I want kinder to be exciting and fun and for each child to look forward to kinder and the wonderful memories that will be made along the way.
Since then I have worked through various roles, building my knowledge of different age groups, interests and abilities. Recently I have been the Kindergarten Teacher to a 3-5 year old group and a 4 year old group.
I am passionate about building strong relationships with the children as I believe this allows a child to feel safe and confident in exploring and engaging with their environment. I understand and respect the importance of family, and the integral role they play as their child’s first teacher. Therefore, I believe having a strong relationship with the family is incredibly important in providing a child with the best opportunity to play and learn.
