3 Year Old – Possum Group

My name is Elizabeth, and I am the 3-year-old Teacher for Possum Group. I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, which was completed through Deakin University. I have 4 children of my own, 3 boys and 1 girl.

I have a passion for children’s learning and development and thoroughly enjoy nurturing and guiding them through different stages of their development. I enjoy planning for children’s interests and leading us into a project-based discovery of learning. Children thrive best in an engaging, safe, and secure environment, where they are supported to explore the world around them confidently.

I strongly believe in developing children’s skills further within a nurturing environment and focusing on their resilience, social and emotional learning, independence and self-help skills in preparation as lifelong learners.

I find it incredibly rewarding watching them grow and develop. I thank you for entrusting me to care for and educate your children, I feel very honoured.

Hi, I’m Giuliana and I am the educator in the 3-year-old group.

My passion for early childhood education started at a young age and I knew I wanted to work with children in the future. I have completed my Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services and have 13 years of experience in the industry.

I have two children of my own, who both attended Yarraleen Preschool. They have fond memories and lasting friendships from their days at Yarraleen.

I believe that all children are individuals and they are unique in every special way. Every child deserves to be treated equally no matter what their background, beliefs or community and they have the right to feel safe and healthy in their environment. I believe childhood is a time for play, discovery, exploration, investigation and imagination.

I’m excited to be part of the Yarraleen community and look forward to getting to know your children.

4 Year Old – Bunjil Group

HEIDI GRAHAMTeacher / Director

I am the Nominated Supervisor, and Educational Leader at Yarraleen Preschool and Teacher for the 4-year-old Bunjil group.

I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies which I completed at Melbourne University in 2000. In 2019 I completed my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at Box Hill Institute enabling me to train a Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Early childhood education has been a passion of mine for a long as I can remember. I have 3 children and during their time at kinder, I joined the committee where I got to experience things from a parent’s perspective.

I love getting to know all the children, finding out their interests and skills, and encouraging and guiding them in their development. I believe in creating an environment where children are comfortable and confident to explore and learn and grow. An integral part of this, I believe is to develop strong relationships with not just the child but their families as well in order for each child to reach their full potential.

Most importantly I want kinder to be exciting and fun and for each child to look forward to kinder and the wonderful memories that will be made along the way.

I’m Jo Vincent and have a Diploma of Children’s Services.

It’s been an honour to work with children for 30 years mostly in long day care setting but more recently in kinder programs also.

I believe that relationships and nurture are the foundations which allow children to develop a strong sense of worth and empathy. I strive to build a strong relationship with every child which will assist them to feel safe and secure at kinder allowing them to develop, learn and blossom.

I love spending time in nature, walking my dog, listening to the sounds and observing the changes and connecting to the land. I also enjoy gardening, cooking and music.

I look forward to getting to know your children and supporting their development throughout the year.
